    New Cards at Night

    As an admitted student, there’s a lot to take care of before you join us in the fall, and you’re bound to have questions. We’re here to help! During these weekly extended office hours, you’ll have the chance to meet one-on-one with several university departments, ask important questions, and complete several items from your First-time Freshman or Transfer Checklist You'll meet with participating departments in one centralized location on campus, and you'll have access to free and convenient parking. 

    • Admissions: meet with an admissions counselor to discuss all of your next steps, including the enrollment deposit, placement tests and more. (Transfer & Adult Services will be available to speak with transfer students in March and April.)
    • Financial Aid: meet with a financial aid advisor and learn how to file FAFSA, review your financial aid package, learn about loans and more. ***Join us on January 28 from 6-7 p.m. EST for a special financial aid presentation. Students unable to come to campus for this presentation can tune in and ask questions during our Facebook LIVE event!
    • Campus Housing: review your various housing options (hall styles, rates, locations, living-learning and themed communities) and ask questions about the housing application process and requesting/changing halls/roommates. 
    • Orientation: ask questions about New Cards Orientation, the required, two-day summer program for first-time freshmen.
    • Metropolitan College: speak with a Metropolitan College representative and learn how students students work part-time, third shift at UPS in exchange for full-time undergraduate tuition to UofL.
    Plan on bringing any materials for which you have questions (financial aid award letter, scholarship letters, etc.) Please be sure to review your First-time Freshman or Transfer Checklist prior to attending and be prepared with questions! 

    Registration is encouraged but not required. Parking information and directions will be sent prior to the event. 

    Students unable to attend these extended office hours in person will be able to request virtual meetings via Skype with registration, and communicate with Campus Housing via their online chat.

    Please know that you can always take care of business in our offices Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
